Vernon Charles Wilson


Vernon Charles Wilson, affectionately known as “V.C.,” was born to Copie and Elizabeth (Coleman) Wilson on August 31, 1929 in the town of Huntingdon, Tennessee.  He was one of six children born to the Wilsons: three boys and three girls.  When Vernon was about ten, the family relocated to Maryland’s Eastern Shore, settling in the town of Ridgely, Maryland.

Vernon received his formal education in the public schools of Caroline County, graduating from the local high school.  Upon graduation he matriculated at the former Bowie State College (now, Bowie State University) , receiving a Bachelor’s degree.  He did further studies at other colleges and completed a doctoral program at Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, receiving a Doctorate in Education. Please click here for the full obituary.
