Roy Earl Counce


Roy Earl Counce, 73, entered into eternal life Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Counce was born April 7, 1943 in Corinth, Mississippi the son of W. E. and Lois (Whittaker) Counce. He was stationed at Perrin Air Force Base and served his country proudly in the Air Force during Vietnam. Roy married Helen Thompson February 1, 1965 in Denison, Texas.


He dedicated his life to protecting and helping others. He worked with the Grayson County Sheriff Department until his retirement in 2008. Roy was a member of Trinity Lighthouse Church. He left a legacy of integrity; love of family and of God, professionalism, leadership and respect. Although his passing leaves a void in our lives he will live in our hearts forever.
