In Loving Memory


Rose (nee Russo) Caputo, 91, of Budd Lake, NJ passed away on January 5, 2017 at home surrounded by her family.


Rose was born in Newark, NJ on April 11, 1925 and moved to Budd Lake in 1968. Rose worked for Mt. Olive Township in the Building and Construction Office for 38 years. She retired at 84 after considering the needs of the friends and loved ones working in the township. After her retirement she enjoyed doing crosswords, word searches, and watching game shows, especially Jeopardy. She loved trips to the racetrack and casino. Rose will be remembered most as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend to many.

Over many Christmases, she gave annual Lenox ornaments to each family member establishing precious collections that will allow her to be present in all Christmas Seasons to come.

Rose is survived by her three loving children, Lorraine Paglia and her husband Louis, Rosemarie Balouskas and her husband Peter, Joseph A. Caputo Jr. and her Son-In-Law Robert E. Sparadoski, Jr.; four grandchildren, Daria, Louis Jr., Peter Jr., and Vincent; six great-grandchildren; Christopher, Arden, Maya, Leo, Mac, and Izabel. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Caputo, Sr.; and by her four siblings, Paul Russo, Peter Russo, Nicholas Russo, and Peter J. Russo.


A Celebration of Rose's Life will include a visitation from 4PM-8PM on Monday January 9, 2017 at the William J. Leber Funeral Home (908) 879-3090, 15 Furnace Road (corner of rt. 206), Chester, NJ 07930. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday January 10, 2017 at St. Jude Parish in Budd Lake, NJ. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
