In Loving Memory
May 25, 1938 to September 4, 2018
Bob passed away peacefully at the age of 80 in Richardson, Texas. Bob was born to Cecile and Zoe Flippin in 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife Candise Flippin, sons Todd and Tim Flippin, granddaughter Carrie Brickett, grandsons Austin and Ricky Flippin, great grandson Nico Brickett, niece Jennifer and grandnieces Aubree and Laela.
Following high school, Bob joined the Air Force on June 16, 1955. He was trained as a Small Arms Marksman, Administrative Specialist, and as an Air Traffic Control Tower Repairman. Bob was stationed in Japan, Mississippi, Newfoundland, New Mexico, and Oklahoma and left his mark on the hearts of those he knew there. He was very proud of his 13+ years of service to the country.
After his military service Bob attended OU and earned his BS degree in Accounting. He was on the President’s Honor Roll and active in the Accounting Club. Bob’s business career started with Arthur Anderson as a CPA and grew with Shared Medical Systems where he was very successful selling computer systems to healthcare entities. One of his favorite endeavors was being co-founder of Infostat. His business associates admired his expertise and always enjoyed his sense of humor.
Bob loved life, family, including his beloved baby dogs, and friends. He had a lifelong affair with cars, owned more than 70 and never tired of going to see them on display at car dealers, auto shows or even on TV. His hobbies included golf, telling jokes and having fun with friends and family. He also enjoyed traveling with Candy, seeing musicals, going to comedy clubs, entertaining friends and family, and dancing to all types of music.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, 9-29, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, Frisco Lakes North Amenity Center, Social Rooms I & II, 7955 Anthem Dr., Frisco, TX 75034.
