In Loving Memory

Margaret D Sheneman

Our beloved Margaret D. (Johnston) Sheneman, 91, of Doylestown, formerly of Hatfield, died on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. She was the wife of the late William E. Sheneman, Jr.

Born in Philadelphia, Margaret (known as “Marge”) was a daughter of the late Joseph L. and Alice E. (Collupy) Johnston of Philadelphia. Margaret was a 1942 graduate of Little Flower High School for Girls.

Marge started her working career with Vicks in Philadelphia and later with Curtis Music. Following her 1947 marriage and having children, she resumed working as a secretary, first for a Champion Knitwear representative, and later she worked as an engineering assistant at Met-Pro Corporation/Fybroc where she was employed for about 18 years before retiring in 1991.

In retirement, Marge remained active as a volunteer for St. Maria Goretti, transporting parishioners to church, helping in the parish office, and she assisted in counting the Sunday collection. She volunteered for Easter Seals, RSVP, and she tutored a Korean immigrant woman in English. She also enjoyed travel around the US, Canada, and Great Britain with her sister, Mary.
