Laura Garcia


Laura Lopez Garcia, aged 85 passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday the 25th of May 2016 surrounded by her children and family. She was born on July 6th, 1930 in the City of East Chicago, Indiana to John M. and Teresa Garcia Lopez of Monterrey, Mexico. She was married to John Manuel Garcia of Topeka Kansas for over 60 years. She was preceded in death by her Father-John, Mother-Teresa and brother-Jesus Lopez.


She is survived by her five children, John Edward Garcia and his wife Donna of Arlington; Luis Alexander Garcia and wife Martha of Baytown; Robert Lee Garcia and wife Sonia of Humble; Alan James Garcia of Cedar Park; Laura Marie Godfrey of Placencia Belize and Mother-in-law to Kelly Sullivan-Garcia of Cedar Park and Earl Godfrey Sr. of Placencia, Belize.


Laura was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and adoring grandmother who always had a smile and kinds words for all who came in touch with her. To read more, please click here for the full obituary.
