Kenyon “Kenny” Kurt Elsasser

Born: December 31, 1935 in Fairbury, NE

Died: November 4, 2016 in Palestine, TX

 

Kenyon is survived by his two daughters, Kimberly Nezat of Houston, TX and Stacey Elsasser of Phoenix, AZ along with his son, Douglas Elsasser of Omaha, NE. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Donna Arlene Most, his parents, Jake and Alta Elsasser, and his brother Duane Elsasser.

 

Kenny grew up in Nebraska and Michigan until settling in Omaha with his parents while a teenager. He spent his adult life working in the meat business and institutional food sales. He became president of Lipsey Meat Company at the age of 37. He is most known for his role in the country music scene in Omaha during the late 50’s and early 60’s. He was a part of the “Berry Brothers” country band for many years. Later in life he became involved in the music program at Evangel Assembly of God.

 

After retirement, he relocated to Houston, TX and remained there until his death. Memorials can be given to the Dementia Society of America, www.dementiasociety.org.
