Kenneth Kurtz


Kenneth D. “Ken” Kurtz, age 83, of Palm Harbor, Florida peacefully passed away Wednesday May 18, 2016 in Clearwater, Florida. Born June 7, 1932, in Dover, Ohio, he was the son of the late John and Garnet Sullivan Kurtz.


Ken graduated from Dover High School in 1950 and entered the U.S. Navy in 1951, where he served 4 years aboard the naval ship ‘USS Capricornus’. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1954 and returned home to marry his sweetheart, Nancy A. Walker on November 27, 1954.


Ken attended the Ohio State University graduating in 1960 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, all while working and raising his family. His career spanned 40 years culminating with him becoming President of his own company, ‘Kurtz Associates’, before he retired.


Ken’s career path moved him and his family to many locations including Delaware, Massachusetts, Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina, New York, and Florida. He traveled the world for international business. To read more, please click here for the full obituary.
