Jerry Mack Hodges

Jerry Mack Hodges, 78, passed away at his home in Fallbrook, California, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. He was born on September 13, 1937 in Waco, Texas to R.C. and Nell Hodges (McEver). Jerry graduated from Plainview High School in 1956 and received a Business degree from Wayland Baptist College in 1961. On July 5, 1958 Jerry married the love of his life, Mardula McWilliams. Together, they had three daughters; Margie, Georgia, and Amy. Jerry and Mardula raised their girls in Plainview and embraced life to the fullest.

As the family expanded with sons-in law, Kevin Cullen, Walter Gregory, and James McGowan, Jerry was thrilled to finally have boys join the family. That happiness grew even more as the grandkids entered his life one by one; Sadie Gregory (19), Soren Gregory (16), Zoë McGowan (16), and Keegan McGowan (11). While Jerry certainly had a love for golf, football, fishing, horseraces, and a variety of hobbies, it was his family and friends that he cared about most. Jerry’s life will be honored at a celebration of life service in Fallbrook, California on April 16, 2016. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jerry’s name to The Dementia Society of America PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901 or at www.dementiasociety.org.
