In Loving Memory
Irene Duff, 90, of West Melbourne, FL, passed away on May 24th after her battle with dimension. Irene will be buried with her husband in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
Irene was born in Haverstraw, NY on September 20, 1926. After graduating high school in 1943, she went to Washington D.C. to work for the FBI helping with the war effort. Upon returning home after WWII she held various positions in New York City, include one with Esquire magazine.
Irene was married to Alan Duff on May 12, 1956; they were married for 40 years. After they were married they settled in Pearl River, NY, living there and raising their family for 30 years. When Alan retired they fulfilled a lifelong dream and moved to Florida. Irene lived in Melbourne Beach, FL for over 20 years. Irene also spent eight years in Issaquah, WA to be close to her grandchildren, before returning to Florida in 2014.
Irene is survived by her son Lawrence and grandchildren Anika and Gillian, all of Canton, GA. She also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Irene is preceded in death by her husband Alan (1996) and daughter Diane (1980).
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Irene Duff's name to the Dementia Society of America.
