In Loving Memory
Bernice A. Neff of Marysville passed away on November 27, 2017, after her battle with dementia. She was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and became a long time resident of Vandalia, where her children grew up. She is survived by her mother, Doris Kemp of Marysville, her 3 children, Dina Johnson (Jeff Johnson) of Marysville, Crystal Martin of New Carlisle and Greg Neff of Urbana. Also surviving are her six grandchildren, Andrew, Jordan and Cami Johnson, Brody, Madison and Tanner Martin and one great-grandchild, Brenden. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Ann.
She loved her family, dearly, and looked forward to spending every moment she could with them. Our holidays were always filled with the sound of her laughter and joyful sarcasm. Her sense of humor, outgoing personality and hugs were only a few of her best qualities.
She was loved by all and was always willing to help someone in need. We thank her for all the love she has given us, for teaching us the importance of time and most of all, we thank her for being our wonderful mom, grandma and daughter. For all the "I love you's" we will miss...We love you Mom.
The family appreciates the kindness of both the staff at Milcrest Healthcare and of Heartland Hospice of Marion.
A "Celebration of Life" memorial will take place at her home on Sunday December 10th, 2017 from 2-5pm. Please contact a family member for location.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Bernice Neff's name to the Dementia Society of America.
