Barbara Brueggeman


Barbara Brueggeman age 72, longtime resident of Massachusetts passed away on Thursday February 8th, peacefully with family by her side suffering from vascular dementia.

Barbara grew up in the South end of Boston. At just 19 years old, she married the love of her life, the late Dana J. Brueggeman Sr. Barbara was a devoted homemaker and later worked for Talbots in Lakeville MA. She loved to travel with Dana, her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. Some of the things she enjoyed the most was shopping, along with spending quality time with her husband. 


She was the daughter of the late Ruth Palmer and Henry Abbot, devoted mother of Dana J. Brueggeman JR. and his wife Suzy of Taunton. Denise L. Harris of Bridgewater. David H. Brueggeman and his wife Gina of East Bridgewater. Darlene A. Purcell and her husband Stephen of Raynham. Proud Nana of Ashley and Brian Harris, Kayla and Eddie Purcell, Alexa and Nicole Brueggeman and the family was excited for her to become a Great Nana to Brayden Dana Harris, come May.


Family and friends are cordially invited to the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, Thursday February 15th for a  visitation period from 4-6. Accompanied by funeral services beginning at 6pm. Following the services the family will continue the celebration of Barbara’s life at the Vets Club, Bridgewater.
